Axis Bank FreeCharge Credit Card Review

Axis Bank FreeCharge Credit card is a co-branded virtual credit card. Axis Bank launched this card in alliance with the mobile app, FreeCharge. It is an Invitation only credit card. This card offers some exclusive benefits including Cash-Back & reward benefits, EMI facility, and lots more. More details of the card are given below. 

Eligibility Criteria:

Axis Bank FreeCharge credit card is an invite-only credit card, only those who have got the invitation can apply for the card. 

  • Resident Type: Indian.
  • For salaried person:
    • Age: 18 to 70 yrs. 
    • Income: This is an Invite only credit card, the eligible customer will see a banner on their FreeCharge App. 
  • For self-employed person:
    • Age: 18 to 70 yrs. 
    • Income: This is an Invite only credit card, the eligible customer will see a banner on their FreeCharge App.
  • Good relation with the bank. 
  • Zero due payment. 
  • Good CIBIL score. (750)

  • Cash-Back benefit: 

You will get up to 10% Cash-Back on your shopping at Myntra, and a discount of up to ₹120 on Freshmenu per month. 

This card also offers up to 50% off on an annual subscription to Eros Now. 

You will also get up to ₹100 credit every month on Shuttl. 

  • Reward benefit:

With this card you can earn reward points from every purchase you make with your card. You can also redeem your earned reward points very easily against several categories available in the reward catalog.  

  • Milestone benefit:

With this card you can earn some bonus reward points too if you can spend ₹2000 to ₹4999 in a month then will get 100 bonus points. And if you can spend ₹5000 or more then you will get 350 (100 + 250) bonus points. 

  • Virtual credit card:

Axis Bank FreeCharge credit card is a Virtual credit card, there are several benefits of a virtual credit card, you can shop online more easily with them, you can manage your subscription more conveniently, and also there is no chance of losing a Virtual credit card. And if you want to have a physical copy of your card, you can apply to your bank for one.   

  • EMI facility:

With this card you can convert any purchase over ₹2500 into EMI, this feature is very helpful for high-value purchases. 

  • EMV chip card:

This card comes with a built-in EMV chip, this chip is specially designed to add more convenience and security to your transactions. 

Charges:

  • Cash Withdrawal Charge: 2.5% against the withdrawal amount (min ₹250)
  • Finance Charge: 3.4% monthly. 
  • Foreign currency transaction: 3.5% against the transaction amount.

Dispute Resolution Process:

If you notice some un-authorized charges in your account or some billing errors, or if your card is lost or stolen, you should act immediately you can follow the steps given below. 

  1. First of all, contact the customer service authority and describe to them your problem, and follow their instructions. In case of a lost card ask them to block your card immediately. 
  2. If you are not satisfied with the given service, you can take your complaint to the circle nodal officer. You can mail at [email protected] or you can call at +91-080-61865200. 
  3. If you do not get any response from them within 10 days, you can then take your complaint to the principal nodal officer, you can mail it at [email protected]

But before going to the Banking Ombudsman, try to negotiate the issue with the bank.

Being an invite-only credit card, Axis Bank FreeCharge Credit card is not available for all, but if you got the invitation for the card you should go for this card as this can earn big benefits from your online spending. It offers a 10% discount on Myntra, up to ₹120 discount on Freshmenu, and 50% off on annual subscription of Eros Now, and reward points on daily spends, and lots more. But if you are looking for premium benefits like lounge access or travel benefit, you will be disappointed with this card.
