Axis Bank one of the frontline card issuers in India, provides a wide range of credit cards to cater to the needs of various customers. Axis Bank Platinum Credit Card is one of them. It offers several benefits to its customer like reward benefits, movie and dining benefits, fuel surcharge waivers, fee waivers, and lots more. Go through the article to know more about the card.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Resident Type: Indian. 
  • For salaried person:
    • Age: 18 to 70 yrs. 
    • Income: ₹25,000 monthly. 
  • For self-employed person:
    • Age: 18 to 70 yrs. 
    • Income: ₹25,000 monthly. 
  • Good relation with the bank. 
  • Good CIBIL score (750 or more).

  • Photocopy of ID Proof (any 1)
    • Aadhar card
    • Voter Card
    • Passport
    • PAN Card
  • Photocopy of Address proof (any 1) 
    • Last 6 months bank account Statement
    • Aadhar Card

  • One recent passport-sized photographs
  • Proof of income statement:
    • Salaried Person (any 1)
      • Latest salary slip (3 months)
      • ITR
    • Self-employed person

  • Joining Fee: ₹500 + GST (can be waived off)
  • Annual Fee: ₹200 + GST (can be waived off)


  • Reward benefit:

For each ₹200 you spend in India with this card, you will get 6 reward points. 

You will get 12 reward points for the same for international transactions. 

You will also get 100 reward points on your first online transaction.  

  • Dining benefit:

With your Axis Bank Platinum Credit Card, you can enjoy dining at most of the premium restaurants with up to 15% discounts on your dining bills. This offer is applicable at some selected partner’s restaurants only. 

  • Movie benefit:

You can get up to 25% Cash-Back on movie tickets booked at box offices. You can earn a maximum of ₹1000 Cash-Back in a year. 

You will not get any reward points for movie-related expenses. 

  • Fuel surcharge waiver:

This card offers a 1% waiver on fuel surcharges, you can get a maximum of ₹400 waivers in a month. The transaction amount should be between ₹400 to ₹4000, and this offer is applicable at all fuel stations in India. 

You will not get any reward points for fuel purchases.  

  • Joining and Annual fee waiver:

If you can spend ₹5,000 within the first 45 days of the card issuance, you will get a 100% waiver on your joining fee. 

And if you can spend ₹1,00,000 within a year with your card, then the annual fee for the next year will be waived off. 

  • EMI facility:

With your Axis Bank Platinum Credit Card, you convert any purchase over ₹2,500 into EMI. You can convert your purchase into EMI through Mobile App, Net Banking, or just by calling customer service. 

  • EMV Chip security:

This card comes with the advanced EMV chip, it adds an extra layer of protection to your transactions. Also whenever you use your card for online transactions, you will get an OTP to authenticate and complete your transaction.  

  • Global Acceptance:

This card is globally accepted, you can use this card at any outlet or e-commerce site where the MasterCard credit cards are accepted. 


  • Cash Withdrawal Charge: 2.5% against the withdrawal amount (min ₹500). 
  • Finance Charge: 3.25% monthly. (46.78% annually)
  • Foreign currency transaction: 3.50% against the transaction amount.

Dispute Resolution Process:

If you notice some unauthorized charges in your account, or there is some billing error, or if your card is lost or stolen. You should act first and report the problem to customer service. You can follow the steps given below.

  1. First of all, contact the customer service authority and describe to them your problem, and follow their instructions. In case of a lost card ask them to block your card immediately. 
  2. If you are not satisfied with the given service, you can take your complaint to the circle nodal officer. You can mail at [email protected] or you can call at +91-080-61865200. 
  3. If you do not get any response within 10 days, you can then contact the principal nodal officer, you can mail at [email protected] 
  4. If you are still not satisfied at stage 3, you can contact the banking ombudsman. You can find the contact details here  

But before going to the Banking Ombudsman, try to negotiate the issue with the bank.

Axis Bank Platinum Credit Card, offers various benefits to its customers, like 6 reward points for each ₹200 transactions, up to 15% discount on dining bill, 25% discount on movie tickets, fuel surcharge waiver, annual fee waiver, EMI facility, and lots more. Although it lacks some benefits like lounge access or golf privilege, it can be said that it offers the best possible benefits and features at this price point.
