One of India’s leading credit card providers Axis Bank provides various types of credit cards to cater to the needs of the customers. Axis Bank Privilege credit card is one of them, this card is best for those who travel quite frequently. The benefits offered by the card are reward benefit, lounge access, dining benefit, fuel surcharge waiver, insurance coverage, EMI facility, concierge service, and lots more.  

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Resident Type: Indian. 
  • For salaried person:
    • Age: 18 to 70 yrs.  
    • Income: ₹6,00,000 annually. 
  • For self-employed person:
    • Age: 18 to 70 yrs. 
    • Income: ₹6,00,000 annually. 
  • Good CIBIL score (750 or more). 
  • Good relation with the bank.

    • Last 6 months bank account Statement

Fee:

  • Joining Fee: ₹1,500 + GST (None for the priority customers) 
  • Annual Fee: ₹1,500 + GST. 

Benefits:

  • Welcome benefit:

If you can complete 3 transactions within the first 60 days of the card activation, you will get 12,500 EDGE reward points as a welcome gift. You will have to pay the joining fee in time to be eligible for the benefit. 

  • Reward benefit:

With your Axis Bank Privilege Credit Card, you will get 10 reward points for each ₹200 transaction made with this card. (both domestically & internationally) 

You can redeem those earned reward points very easily against various several categories from the reward catalog.   

  • Lounge access:

With this card, you will get 2 free accesses to most of the premium domestic airports in India. You will get a maximum of 2 free access per quarter.  

  • Dining benefit:

With this card, you can dine at some of the premium restaurants in India with up to a 20% discount on your dining bill. 

  • Fuel Surcharge waiver:

You can get up to ₹400 fuel surcharge waivers in a month with your Axis Bank Privilege Credit Card. This feature applies to all fuel stations in India. The transaction amount should be between ₹400 to ₹4,000.  

  • Annual fee waiver:

If you can spend ₹2.50 lakh in a year with your card, then the annual fee for the next year will be waived off. 

  • Milestone reward:

If you can spend ₹2.5 lakh in a year, you can then redeem your earned EDGE reward points into Shopping or Travel vouchers which worth twice the value of the reward points. This way you can earn the double benefit.  

  • Insurance coverage:

With this card, you will get ₹2.5 Cr of Air accidental coverage, and 300USD coverage against lost baggage and documents. 

This card also offers a credit shield of ₹1 lakh and ₹1 lakh of purchase protection.  

  • Extraordinary weekends: 

You can also experience the premium hospitality of the Extraordinary Weekends program of Axis Bank. 

  • EMI facility:

With this card you can convert any purchase over ₹2,500 into easy EMIs, this feature is very helpful for high-value purchases. 

  • EMV chip security:

This card comes with a built-in EMV chip, it is designed to add more security to our transaction. Also, this card is 3d secured, which means you will get an OTP every time to authenticate and complete your online transactions.

  • Global Acceptance: 

This card is accepted almost in any country in the world. You can use this card at any outlet or e-commerce site where the MasterCard credit cards are accepted.

  • Cash Withdrawal Charge: 2.5% against the withdrawal amount. (min ₹500)
  • Finance Charge: 3.40% monthly & (49.36% annually)
  • Foreign currency transaction: 3.50% against the transaction amount.

Dispute Resolution Process:

If you notice some unauthorized charges in your account, or there is some billing error, or if your card is lost or stolen. You should act first and report the problem to customer service. You can follow the steps given below.

  1. First of all, contact the customer service authority and describe to them your problem, and follow their instructions. In case of a lost card ask them to block your card immediately. 
  2. If you are not satisfied with the given service, you can take your complaint to the circle nodal officer. You can mail at [email protected] or you can call at +91-080-61865200. 
  3. If you do not get any response within 10 days, you can then contact the principal nodal officer, you can mail at [email protected]

But before going to the Banking Ombudsman, try to negotiate the issue with the bank.

This card is specially designed for frequent travelers, you will get 10 reward points per transaction, 2 free lounge access per quarter, up to 20% off on dining bills, insurance coverage, EMI facility, and lots more. 

So if you are looking for a travel card with a big reward benefit, then this card will be a good choice for you. But if you are looking for Cash-Back on ticket or hotel booking, and movie benefits, you will be disappointed with this card.
