Citibank has introduced a new credit card named Citi Indian oil Platinum Fuel Credit Card, this card is specially designed to give the customers benefits on fuel purchases, you can get benefits like reward points on fuel purchase, concierge service, dining benefit, fuel surcharge, annual fee waiver, etc. Also, you can redeem your earned reward points to get free fuel. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Resident Type: Indian. 
  • For salaried person:
    • Age: 23 to 60 yrs. 
    • Income: ₹25,000 monthly. (Min)
  • For self-employed person:
    • Age: 23 to 60 yrs. 
    • Income: ₹25,000 monthly. (Min)
  • Good CIBIL score (750 or more).

  • Photocopy of ID Proof (any 1)
    • Aadhar card
    • Voter Card
    • Passport
    • PAN Card
  • Photocopy of Address proof (any 1) 
    • Last 6 months bank account Statement

  • Joining Fee: Citibank will let you know during the application process. 
  • Annual Fee: ₹10,000 + GST (can be waived off if ₹30,000 is spent annually)


  • Welcome benefit:

With the issuance of the card, Citibank will welcome you with 250 turbo points as a welcome gift, you will get the reward points within first 30 days of the card activation. 

  • Reward benefit:

With your Citi Indian oil platinum fuel credit card, you earn reward points from your daily expenses. 

You will get 2 turbo points on each ₹150 to spend on shopping, especially on Super Markets and Groceries. You will also get 1 turbo points for the same, on all the other categories. 

You can redeem your earned turbo points against fuel, 1 turbo points are equal to ₹1 of petrol, or any fuel. You can redeem your points with just an SMS, this offer is applicable at some selected Indian oil fuel stations. 

  • Concierge Service:

With this card you will get an always active and helpful concierge service, you can get help on travel or hotel booking, reservation of dining, gift delivery service, and lots more. 

  • Dining:

With your Citibank Indian oil Platinum Fuel Credit Card, you will get up to a 20% discount on your dining bills. This offer is applicable at most of the frontline restaurants in India, including – Arena Café, Barrish, Beer Republic, etc. 

  • Benefit On fuel purchase:

This card is specially designed to give you more benefit on fuel purchases, you will get 4 turbo points on every ₹150 spends on fuel. 

  • Fuel surcharge Waiver:

With this card you will get a 1% discount on fuel surcharges, this offer is applicable at most of the Indian oil fuel stations in India. 

  • Free fuel:

You can get up to 71 liters of free fuel annually. You can redeem your earned reward points against fuel to get free fuel, I turbo reward point = ₹1 of free fuel. 

  • Duty-free Shopping:

With your Citibank credit card, you will get up to a 15% discount on shopping at some selected duty-free stores in India. 

  • Annual Fee waiver:

You can get 100% off on your annual fee payment, just spend ₹30,000 in a year and the next year’s annual fee will be waived off. That means you can make your card free for life very easily. 

  • EMV Chip Security:

This card comes with a built-in EMV chip, it is specially designed for convenience and security, it makes your transaction more safe and secure. 

  • Easy Payment option:

This Citibank credit card comes with a Tap n Pay option, it enables you to pay with just a wave at any secure reader machine. it reduces the chance of lost or stolen cards. 

  • Worldwide acceptance:

This card can be used from anywhere in the world, also you can use this card to purchase from any foreign e-commerce site. But in both cases, the foreign currency transaction charge will be applicable on the transacted amount.  


  • Cash Withdrawal Charge: 2.5% against the withdrawal amount. 
  • Finance Charge: 3.25% monthly. 
  • Foreign Currency transaction Charge: 3.5% against the transacted amount.

If any fraud or unauthorized transaction happens you can follow these steps – 

    1. Call the customer service and describe your problem, in case of fraud or lost card ask them to block your card, and follow their instructions.

Final Opinion:

Citi Indian oil Platinum Fuel Credit Card is a co-branded fuel credit card that offers several benefits on fuel purchase, like Reward program, discount on fuel surcharge, free fuel, etc. but the only negative point of the card is that the benefits are available only at Indian oil fuel stations, except that it is a good fuel card and can earn you big benefits annually.
