Paytm First Credit Card Review

Paytm the Indian e-commerce site has launched its first credit card named paytm first credit card. This card is launched in co-operation with Citibank, India. It is much like the app-based co-branded credit cards like One card or Uni Pay. 

This is actually a low-cost entry-level credit card that offers exclusive cashback and benefits for Paytm customers. This card works on the Visa card network and the annual fee of the card is Rs. 499 + GST. Now let’s dive into the details. 

Paytm First Credit Card Eligibility Criteria:

This card is exclusively available for some selected Paytm customers. Eligible customers can apply for this paytm first card using their Paytm app. 

  • Resident Type: Indian
  • For salaried person:
    • Age: The age of the applicant should be between 21 to 60 years. 
    • Income: There is no minimum income required to apply for this card, but having a higher monthly/annual income will help you to get a higher credit limit.  
  • For self-employed person:
    • Age: The age of the applicant should be between 21 to 65 years. 
    • Income: There is no minimum income required to apply for this card, but having a higher monthly/annual income will help you to get a higher credit limit.
  • An excellent credit score (above 760) is needed to apply for this card. 

If you are eligible, you can apply for paytm first credit card from the Paytm app. Once your application is submitted you will get regular updates about your paytm first credit card application status from the Paytm app.

This paytm first card is equipped with an advanced contactless payment facility, this feature allows you to make payments by tapping your card over any POS machine that accepts contactless payments. Due to security reasons, the paytm credit card contactless payment facility is limited to Rs. 5000 per transaction.
